After nearly a year away from the squared circle, Charlie (formerly known as Dakota Kai in WWE) is ready to make her return. The talented striker has not wrestled since March 2025 and was released by WWE in May of that year. Now, she is set to compete at EVE Wrestle Queendom on March 8, where she will face former AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander in a marquee matchup.
“Wherever My Path May Lead, I’m Open to It”
In a recent interview with Dave LeGreca and Nic Nemeth on Busted Open Radio, Charlie discussed her future in the industry and whether fans could see her in major promotions like AEW or TNA. While she hasn’t signed anywhere yet, she expressed openness to all possibilities.
“Once I get back into it, [TNA and AEW] and so many more have people that I would love to face in the ring,” Charlie said. “I haven’t really pinpointed it to any particular thing, I just think once I do this match and get the wheels turning, wherever my path may lead, I’m open to it completely.”
Her return match against Statlander is a significant test. Statlander is one of the top competitors in AEW, and a strong showing from Charlie could immediately position her as a top free agent in the wrestling market. Fans will be watching closely to see if “Team Kick” is back in full force.
