It has been a long, cold winter for Finn Balor, but the drought is finally over. On Saturday night at the Road to WrestleMania live event in Lubbock, Texas, the Judgment Day member scored his first victory in more than five months. Balor defeated NXT standout Je’Von Evans at the United Supermarkets Arena, ending a staggering 166-day winless stretch.
“Absolute Banger” Ends the Slump
Balor’s last recorded victory came all the way back on September 1, 2025, when he defeated Dragon Lee on Monday Night RAW. Since then, the former Universal Champion had gone 0-7 in televised bouts, a statistic that had fans worried about his booking direction.
The match against Evans was widely praised by attendees as an “absolute banger,” showcasing Balor’s ability to elevate younger talent. In a show of sportsmanship following the bell, Balor helped Evans to his feet and presented him to the crowd, signaling respect for the next generation while finally putting a mark in his own win column.
