The road to the Elimination Chamber has been paved with unexpected injuries and brutal backstage assaults. Just four days after suffering a severe torn biceps on Monday Night Raw, Bronson Reed provided a positive update for his supporters as he begins the grueling rehabilitation process.
“The Road Back” Begins for Bronson Reed
Late Friday night, the powerful Australian superstar took to Instagram to share a photo of himself in a hospital bed, heavily bandaged and hooked up to medical equipment following a successful operation. Keeping a determined mindset, Reed captioned the post: “Surgery done. Tomorrow is DAY ONE. The road back.”
Reed sustained the injury while attempting to break up a pinfall during a crucial Elimination Chamber qualifying match. He was originally booked to win the bout, but his inability to continue forced an improvised finish, resulting in Jey Uso securing the victory and the Chamber spot.
However, the “Main Event” star’s fortunes quickly changed. The latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown opened with chaotic scenes of Uso being loaded into an ambulance following a vicious assault by an unknown attacker. With Uso medically incapacitated, a high-stakes main event was booked to determine his replacement. Logan Paul, Reed’s stablemate in the dominant Vision faction, squared off against the dangerous Jacob Fatu.
The climax of the match saw massive interference from WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, who attacked Fatu, allowing Paul to capitalize and steal the victory. Barring any further incidents in the final 24 hours before the premium live event in Chicago, the Men’s Elimination Chamber field is now locked. Logan Paul joins a star-studded lineup featuring Randy Orton, LA Knight, Cody Rhodes, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams, with the ultimate winner earning a guaranteed shot at McIntyre’s WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42.
