The 2026 WWE Elimination Chamber event was a historic night for professional wrestling’s most famous married couple. Both CM Punk and AJ Lee walked out of the United Center in Chicago with championship gold, and they decided to celebrate the milestone by breaking the internet with a highly provocative social media post.
A Calculated Dig at Rival WWE Superstars
The hometown crowd in Chicago had plenty to cheer for on Saturday. First, AJ Lee shocked the world by defeating Becky Lynch to capture the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, marking her first title victory in 11 years. Later in the evening, CM Punk successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship against The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor. Following the premium live event, the victorious couple uploaded a risqué and NSFW photo to social media that immediately went viral across the wrestling community.
The photo was a direct and calculated dig at Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, stemming from a similarly risqué title celebration the rival couple posted years ago. In that original picture, Rollins covered his lower region with the Universal Championship, while Lynch used two of her women’s titles to cover her chest and lower body. Recreating the infamous pose, Punk used his World Heavyweight Championship to cover his groin area, while utilizing his wife’s newly won Intercontinental Title to cover his chest.
The post sparked an immediate wave of reactions from fans and fellow wrestlers alike. AJ Lee humorously commented on her husband’s post, writing, “He is my emergency contact.” WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley chimed in with, “I’m f***in dead!”, while AEW’s Johnny TV simply added, “love this!” With the Elimination Chamber behind him, Punk is now firmly focused on defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 42.
