MJF does not want Will Ospreay to beat Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship at All In in London on August 30, per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The implication is that MJF intends to exercise his rematch clause and wants the opportunity to take the title back himself before Wembley — or at minimum, does not want Ospreay to be the one who ends Omega’s reign.
At Beach Break, MJF made his displeasure with the Omega vs. Ospreay match clear in a backstage segment with Ospreay, mocking the idea that “Bruv” deserved the Wembley moment and insisting MJF himself had been “the feeling” all along. He said Ospreay and Omega were “just good little rasslers.”
MJF’s rematch clause is the expected next step in the AEW World title picture. He is not expected to be champion at All In but wants to be the one who beats Omega before then.
