Jeff Jarrett said Trick Williams has the intangibles that cannot be taught, but that nothing replaces time in the ring.
Williams regained the United States Championship after Lil Yachty and Baron Corbin wrestled to a five-minute time-limit draw at Sunday Night’s Main Event, which earned Williams a rematch.
“A lot of upside, a ton. I mean, vibe, charisma, everything that we often talk about on here,” Jarrett said on My World with Jeff Jarrett. “Bell to bell is very important. I think the importance of what happens in the ring has increased over the last, I don’t know, 10, 15, 20 years, but Trick has the intangibles.”
Jarrett said the direction is clear and correct, but the work is not finished.
“You can tell they’re going with Trick, and rightly so. And he’s got charisma, but nothing replaces time. I think he’s got to continue to get as many reps as possible. It’s hard to really, really break through,” he said.
