Tony Khan Says More Pay-Per-Views Have “Helped Our Bottom Line”

Tony Khan says AEW’s expanded pay-per-view schedule has been good for business.

Speaking at the AEW All Out post-show media scrum, Khan said this year’s pay-per-views have been more commercially successful.

“Higher numbers of buys, higher live event sales for the pay-per-views. It’s been a really great year of the pay-per-views.”

Khan tied the added events to the growth of AEW’s television.

“So, as we’ve grown our TV and grown our media rights deal, it has made sense to also expand the pay-per-view calendar. And I think it’s been very additive for AEW. It’s also every big wrestling TV company in history has gravitated towards having more pay-per-views as they expand their TV.”

“It’s certainly helped our business. It’s certainly helped our bottom line. And I think we’ve been able to keep a lot of goodwill with our fans by delivering great pay-per-views consistently and making it worth the money and making it a good value to the fans when AEW’s on pay-per-view.”

In its early years, AEW’s pay-per-view calendar was built around four major events.
