Jeff Jarrett says he spent part of his afternoon at AEW All Out talking with PAC over coffee in catering, one day before AEW announced his death.
On My World with Jeff Jarrett, Jarrett explained that he was at the NOW Arena preparing for the All Out Buy-In broadcast when he ran into PAC, whose real name was Benjamin Satterley.
“Our bumping into each other at the coffee cooler area went from about a two or three minute chat to 10, 15 minute chat, and he’s more of a soccer guy, just a good-hearted chat. Nothing about wrestling.”
Jarrett said the two talked about rugby and soccer before going their separate ways to get ready for the show.
“I walked away from the conversation, just laughing and cutting up and enjoying it because we talked about nothing but nonsense of soccer and… football and rugby, and then to hear that news 24 hours later.”
AEW announced on Sunday night that Satterley had passed away at 40. Jarrett spoke about the kind of person he was.
“Yes, he’s talented in the ring, and we can talk about that for days. But the human being, and I know this is going to be said a lot, but PAC loved this business, and I want to say the right way.”
He added, “PAC loved it, gave to it, a student of it. You could tell he’s all business… Godspeed, my man. Godspeed.”
