Matt Hardy has praised Mustafa Ali’s work with Order 4 in TNA.
On The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, a fan asked Hardy to name the greatest faction in TNA history. Hardy started with the Main Event Mafia, saying the group stood out for its star power.
“They brought Samoa Joe in, and it was cool that he ended up being in it because he was like the workhorse of the group. They were really good,” Hardy said.
He then pointed to Ali’s group, which has been splitting apart on TNA television.
“This isn’t a greatest of all time, but like I am so impressed with Mustafa Ali’s work with Order 4 and the story they’ve been telling… The disintegration of Order 4, and it’s been just masterfully done. So it’s been very, very good,” Hardy said.
Ali defends the TNA International Championship against former Order 4 members Jason Hotch, John Skyler and Special Agent 0 in a four-way match at Bound For Glory on October 11.
Hardy also brought up Fortune, Immortal and Aces & Eights, noting that Aces & Eights was modeled on Sons of Anarchy.
“The one thing about it is they did do really good business whenever Bubba turned,” Hardy said, referring to Bully Ray being revealed as the group’s leader.
He added that WWE’s Nexus “really did start off good” before it “really kind of lost its way.”
