Asked about retirement, Jeff Jarrett says he does not have an end point in mind for his in-ring career.
On My World with Jeff Jarrett, recorded at 1FW Rumble in Rome, where Jarrett beat Paul Walter Hauser in a tables match, Jarrett was asked whether he knows how many more matches he wants to have.
“I don’t, and maybe I should. You know, maybe that’s part of my delusional optimism, and I’m being sincere,” Jarrett said. “Hell, maybe I am in the last chapter. Maybe I should be in the last chapter… But I don’t really have it right now, and maybe I should.”
Jarrett is in his 40th year in the business.
“To have this like legit 40 years of being able to perform, I don’t lose sight of it. I really don’t. I’m very grateful. So maybe that’s why I hadn’t really figured out or dialed in. But no, I don’t really have it around my head. The end point.”
Asked whether the right story could be what makes him decide to stop, Jarrett said he did not know what that would look like.
“I have no idea what that story would be. You know, I don’t know. It’s something to ponder on.”
He added that the night had him thinking.
“Is this the last time I’m ever going to wrestle in Rome?”
