Max Caster’s run with TNA is over after one match.
TNA announced on October 12 that Caster will no longer wrestle for the company after he referenced the attacks in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during his pre-match rap at Bound For Glory.
“During Sunday’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view, insensitive comments were made by Max Caster referencing attacks in Riyadh that killed and injured many people,” the statement read. “Making light of violent attacks is wrong. This should never have made it into the show, and that responsibility is ours. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and everyone affected. We sincerely apologize. We have removed the segment from replays and our social channels and are taking steps to ensure something like this never happens again. Max Caster will no longer be wrestling for TNA.”
During the rap, Caster said, “And it’s the firing squad. I drop bombs. You don’t even have to fly to Riyadh.” Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport has been the target of attacks by Yemen’s Houthis this month.
Caster lost to Moose in the match, which was his TNA debut. The match has been removed from the Bound For Glory replay, and clips of Caster have been deleted from TNA’s social media accounts.
False Finish reported that TNA had planned to use Caster at its post-Bound For Glory TV tapings and that he was signed to a per-appearance deal. Fightful Select reported that sources in TNA said the Riyadh line was not scripted or approved.
Caster’s AEW contract expired on October 1. His raps drew criticism several times during his time with AEW, including a 2021 rap for AEW Dark that was edited out of the show.
