The decision to cut Max Caster from TNA came directly from TNA President Carlos Silva, according to Fightful.
TNA announced on October 12 that Caster will no longer wrestle for the company after he referenced the attacks in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during his pre-match rap at Bound For Glory. Fightful reported that the line was not approved and that TNA had considered using Caster at this week’s TV tapings in Dothan, Alabama. Caster had told people close to him that his match with Moose was likely a one-off.
The report said some TNA talent felt the company should take some of the blame for not having Caster run his rap by them first, given his history. Talent also said everything seemed fine on the bus ride from the venue to the hotel after the show.
Caster addressed his firing in a video posted on Instagram and X on October 13. He apologized to Silva and the TNA office and said he felt he had let down the people who vouched for him.
“I can’t apologize for anyone being offended,” Caster said. “But just know that it’s not my intention to make people upset.”
“I’m sorry how things have ended up.”
