TNA approached Sheamus about appearing at Bound For Glory, but the two sides never reached a deal, according to Fightful.
Sheamus had been reported as TNA’s first choice to answer Moose’s open challenge. Max Caster ended up taking the spot.
Fightful reported that it was not a case of TNA choosing Caster over Sheamus. The gap between the two sides on pay was described as “vast,” and Sheamus had not committed to the show as of two weeks before the event. There was no sign of significant movement toward an agreement.
The report did not say why talks stalled or whether TNA plans to try again.
Sheamus left WWE earlier this year and is a free agent. He had teased a possible TNA appearance on social media.
