Toni Storm’s return storyline in AEW was planned with hints on TV pointing to several wrestlers who could have attacked her, according to Fightful.
Storm has not appeared for AEW since Revolution in March, when she beat Marina Shafir and was then attacked backstage and left unconscious. The attacker has not been revealed.
Fightful reported that AEW had a name in mind for the attacker, but kept it protected in case the story changed.
At WrestleDream on October 17, media members were given a cassette tape with recordings of Storm. Fightful said more elements could be added as her return builds, but she is not expected back right away.
