Jon Moxley will face Shingo Takagi at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 21 on January 4, 2027, at the Tokyo Dome.
Takagi laid out the challenge after his team beat the Death Riders in a tag match at Power Struggle on November 3. Jeff Cobb pinned Wheeler Yuta, and Takagi attacked Yuta after the match before calling out Moxley.
It will be their first singles match since Moxley beat Takagi in a No Disqualification match at NJPW Battle in the Valley in 2024.
It will also be Moxley’s first Tokyo Dome match since Wrestle Kingdom 18 in 2024.
