Thom Latimer Defends NWA World’s Title Against EC3 at ‘Samhain 2’
The storied rivalry for the National Wrestling Alliance World’s Heavyweight title continues when Thom Latimer faces EC3 at Samhain 2. The reigning champ puts the “Ten Pounds of Gold” on the line against “The Over Man” Oct. 26 in Tampa, Florida.
Latimer finally defeated EC3 for the coveted title in August at the sold-out NWA 76 anniversary celebration in Philadelphia. It was the latest chapter in a conflict extending back over two years.
The pair stand to write a new entry in their feud at Samhain 2. The National Wrestling Alliance’s recently-relocated Halloween-themed Signature Live Event is now scheduled for Tampa’s WEDU PBS studios.
“The animosity between Thom Latimer and EC3 has become a cornerstone of modern National Wrestling Alliance history,” says Joe Galli, NWA® Chief Operating Officer.
“Now the roles have been reversed, with Thom as the NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion,” Galli continues. “We know the lengths to which EC3 was willing to go to retain ‘Sweet Charlotte.’ At Samhain 2, we find out just how far he’ll go to regain the most legendary championship in professional wrestling today.”
Initially scheduled for Sarasota, Samhain 2 is now emanating from WEDU PBS Studios in Tampa while the famed Robarts Arena assists with Florida recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Milton. All tickets sold for the original venue will be honored with attendees receiving price adjustments for the new location. Those unable to attend in Tampa will be issued full refunds via Eventbrite.
