WWE Hall of Famer and current AEW executive Jeff Jarrett has announced a last-minute, “pop up” live version of his popular podcast, My World, which will take place this Saturday, August 23rd, in London, England. The event will happen the night before AEW’s massive Forbidden Door pay-per-view at the nearby O2 Arena.
The live show will feature Jarrett alongside Scottish wrestling star Grado, with Tom Campbell of Cultaholic serving as the host. This is a unique opportunity for UK fans to see the WWE Hall of Famer in an intimate live setting, an event that came together very quickly. Jarrett has a long and storied history with the UK wrestling scene, dating back to his first tour in 1993.
Speaking on his My World podcast with Conrad Thompson, Jarrett officially announced the show and shared the details. He explained that while a live show has been discussed for a couple of years, this one came together very quickly, making it a special “pop up” event for the fans in London.
“This year we didn’t get out in front of it. It’s kind of a, I call it a pop up, My World Conrad, if you will. But we’re doing it. If you’re listening to this, it is literally this Saturday, The Boundary, formerly known as the Sports Bar and Grill in Farringdon. That is in proper London… It is a pop up. Pop up My World Live myself. I’ve got my man, Grado… Tom Campbell is going to be hosting… It’s all getting started the night before fitting a Forbidden Door. Saturday night kicks off at 7:30. There is a football slash soccer game that’s taking place in the afternoon, but, man, we’re going to get things kicked off 7:30 probably start telling stories around eight.”
Jarrett expressed his excitement for the event and promised a fun night of stories and a few surprises for the UK faithful. He noted that VIP tickets will include a meet and greet with both himself and Grado.
“General mission, 20 pounds. VIP, which is going to get you a meet and greet, a free signed, personalized 8×10, by myself and Grado… This Saturday, My World Live, I’m calling it a pop up, because we just announced it on Friday and we’re going to be doing it literally this Saturday. We’re going to have a lot of fun. Got a couple of surprises. I’m taking a page out of Conrad Thompson’s book… I wore my Slapnuts UK shirt today in honor of the My World Live. So we’ll see how it pans out, buddy. We’ll report back next week. But looking forward to seeing all the faithful UK folks. They know how much I respect them. I used to call them freeloaders, but go way back in the country my first trip over 1993. So I am excited to be talking to the UK fans Saturday night.”
