WWE Monday Night Raw aired tonight from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, with Michael Cole and Corey Graves on commentary.
Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu: Tribal Combat Set For Clash in Italy
Roman Reigns arrived and demanded time from Adam Pearce to confront Jacob Fatu. Before Pearce could respond, Fatu’s music hit.
Fatu called out Reigns but got the Usos instead. Jimmy tried to reason with Fatu — he lost at Backlash, he needs to acknowledge the Tribal Chief, and continuing down this road was going to get him fired. Jey had less patience and went at Fatu with a chair. Fatu absorbed the shot and put both Usos down with the Tongan Death Grip.
Reigns came out and the two exchanged blows. Fatu caught Reigns in the Death Grip as well. Jey broke it with a spear, Jimmy came off the top, and the Usos combined for a partial 1D. They tied Fatu in the ropes and Reigns unloaded a Superman Punch. The Usos hit superkicks. Reigns finished with a spear.
As Reigns and the Usos walked off and Adam Pearce entered the arena to fire Fatu, Fatu called out from the mat: “Roman! Tribal Combat!” Pearce tried to wave Reigns off. Reigns accepted. Jacob Fatu vs. Roman Reigns in a Tribal Combat match — a no-holds-barred match where the loser must acknowledge the winner as Tribal Chief — is now set for Clash in Italy.
Finn Bálor def. JD McDonough — Street Fight (14:16)
The rubber match between Bálor and McDonough, with each man holding a prior win. Kendo sticks and chairs were in play before the first minute was up. McDonough took Bálor into the crowd and hit a moonsault off the first row of the lower bowl.
Back in the ring, Bálor put McDonough through a table propped in the corner with a shotgun dropkick. McDonough recovered, set up another table, and superplexed Bálor through it with help from Dominik Mysterio — but Bálor kicked out at two. Mysterio threw aluminum trash cans into the ring and he and McDonough worked over Bálor with them. McDonough set up Bálor for a 619. Bálor reversed it and McDonough ate the kick instead. Bálor stuffed McDonough in a trash can, hit a shotgun dropkick, and finished with the Coupe de Grâce for the pin.
Backstage: Seth Rollins Issues Challenge
Seth Rollins told Cathy Kelly he has no allies but has been given the main event tonight and will face any member of The Vision. He singled out Bron Breakker, calling him a “nepo baby.” Bron wanted to accept but Paul Heyman steered him toward sending Austin Theory instead.
El Grande Americano & Los Americanos def. The Original Grande Americano & Los Americanos Hermanos — Tornado Tag (10:43)
All six men in simultaneously. Chad Gable — working as The Original Grande Americano alongside the Creed Brothers — suplexed two opponents at once and headbutted his way through several near falls. The new Los Americanos responded with a poisoned rana from Rayo on Julius, Americano taking out Gable on the floor, and a sequence capped by a top-rope rana, top-rope headbutt, and charging loaded-mask headbutt for the pin.
Backstage: Becky Lynch, Sol Ruca, and the SNME Challenge
Sol Ruca came out to the ring after Lynch trash-talked her 0-2 record backstage, challenging Lynch to a match on the spot. Lynch declined a match in Greensboro but accepted for Saturday Night’s Main Event. Ruca said she would take Lynch’s soul and the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Lynch did not agree to put the title on the line.
Ethan Page Sits Down With Michael Cole
Page arrived with a list of pre-written, self-flattering questions for Cole to ask. Cole got fed up and told Page his ego was going to cost him against Penta at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Paige & Brie Bella def. Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez — WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship (10:06)
The winners advance to defend the titles against Lash Legend and Nia Jax at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The Judgment Day worked over Paige for much of the match. The finish came when Brie Bella went to the top and Liv Morgan pushed her down. The referee caught the interference and ejected Morgan. Rodriguez passed a title belt to Perez, who swung wildly at Bella and missed. Bella rolled her up for the pin. Paige and Brie Bella retained.
After the match, Morgan came back and clotheslined the champions from behind. The Judgment Day had a 3-on-2 advantage until Bayley and Lyra Valkyria ran in. Bayley hit Morgan with a Bayley-to-Belly. Valkyria cleaned out Perez and Rodriguez with a dropkick.
Brock Lesnar Returns, Attacks Oba Femi
Oba Femi entered for his open challenge. Before any opponent could answer, Brock Lesnar returned and attacked from behind, hitting four consecutive F5s and leaving Femi laid out in the ring.
Backstage, Adam Pearce confronted Paul Heyman demanding answers, noting he had filed retirement paperwork. Heyman handed him a signed contract for a Lesnar vs. Femi rematch. A match between the two is expected at Clash in Italy, though it has not been officially confirmed.
Seth Rollins def. Austin Theory (w/ Logan Paul) (12:53)
Theory and Paul taunted Rollins on the floor before the bell. Rollins responded by diving onto both of them. Theory targeted Rollins’ ankle throughout, sandwiching it against the ring steps and applying a half-crab late in the match.
Rollins came back with a Falcon Arrow and a sit-out powerbomb. Logan Paul shoved Rollins off the middle rope to give Theory an opening. Theory hit a stomp for two. Paul slipped Theory brass knuckles. Paul distracted the referee. Rollins superkicked Theory, the referee confiscated the knuckles from Rollins, Theory went for a rollup, and Rollins reversed it into a Pedigree for the pin.
After the match, Paul jumped Rollins. Angelo Dawkins ran in to help but was overwhelmed by The Vision. Montez Ford came in and dived over the post onto Paul and Theory. Bron Breakker ran in and speared Dawkins, but Ford pushed his partner clear and took the spear himself. Breakker then gut-busted Dawkins and speared Rollins. The Vision spread Rollins across the ring steps for Breakker to crush him with the other half before Adam Pearce arrived with staff to stop it.
