Chad Gable will face Rusev on Monday’s WWE Raw following a confrontation on the June 8 episode. Penta retained the Intercontinental Championship against Rey Fenix, but was then attacked by Ethan Page and Rusev. Gable came out to make the save.
Gable announced the match on X: “The acceptance I’ve been given by EVERYONE upon dropping the mask and returning to Raw has been overwhelming and will be forever treasured by me. But if I don’t perform and live up to my own expectations, it’ll all be for nothing. This Monday, Rusev is the first stop on a very important path I’ve defined for myself. Now or never.”
