During the podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer discussed the progression of AEW World Heavyweight Champion Swerve Strickland.
“I thought they told a great story and had a great match. What’s happening here is that we’re seeing the construction of the Swerve Strickland brand, and he’s a really talented kid. His best days are yet to come, and my god, he’s still young, he’s athletic. He’s motivated, which is important. I think he takes the fact that he’s the first African-American AEW Champion very seriously, as he should, and he is.”
