The Rock Won’t Be Wrestling Top WWE Star At WrestleMania 41

The Rock made a special appearance on this week’s WWE Raw, marking the Netflix premiere episode. However, he appeared as a babyface rather than the “Final Boss” character. During the segment, he praised the company and even shared a warm embrace with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

Originally, WWE had planned to feature The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes as a marquee match at WrestleMania 41, following WrestleMania 40.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, internal sources have confirmed that “Rock vs. Rhodes, the originally planned main event for this year’s Mania, is not happening.”
