The upcoming week of collaborative shows between CMLL, AEW, and ROH in Mexico City continues to take shape with exciting match announcements. CMLL revealed during its May 7 Informa show that AEW/ROH star Bandido will face CMLL’s Mascara Dorada (formerly Gran Metalik in WWE) in a high-profile singles match.
This luchador dream match is scheduled for the special CMLL vs. AEW x ROH event on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Arena México. The match marks a significant return for Bandido, who hasn’t competed in a CMLL ring since 2021.
Also announced for the June 17 card is a CMLL World Tag Team Championship defense. The reigning champions, Los Hermanos Chavez (Angel de Oro & Niebla Roja), will put their titles on the line against the AEW/ROH duo known as CRU (Action Andretti & Lio Rush).
These cross-promotional bouts highlight the strengthening relationship between the promotions and promise thrilling encounters during a stacked week of wrestling in Mexico City, which also includes AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam Mexico and the CMLL x NJPW FantasticaMania Mexico show.
