AEW wrestler Kyle Fletcher recently talked about why he chose to wear pink-colored ring gear and his love for the color. During an interview with WGN Radio 720, Fletcher explained what started his idea for the unique attire.
He mentioned that most male wrestlers do not choose pink for their gear. Fletcher stated, “I think it was a tweet that I saw, and it was like, ‘Not enough male wrestlers wear pink,’ and that was enough in my brain to go, ‘Oh, my God, I love the color pink.’ No guys wear the color pink.”
This thought led him to contact his gear designer with a bold idea. “Then, I literally just messaged my gear designer, and I was like, ‘What do you think, triple pink?’ He was like, ‘Yes,’ and then we just started working on it,” Fletcher shared. He even teased the new gear on social media before it arrived, saying, “I have just designed my favorite gear of all time… you’ll know when you see it,’ and that was the gear.”
