With 2026 approaching, speculation regarding Chris Jericho’s future is ramping up.
In an interview on The Tim Weisberg Show, Jericho confirmed he intends to be active in the ring next year. When asked if WWE is in his future, he remained coy but definitive about his status as a performer.
“Well, you never know, man. That’s the thing. I’m not done yet, so I’m still figuring everything out, and we’ll see where I end up. But I’m pretty sure you’ll see me in a wrestling ring somewhere in 2026,” Jericho said.
This comes as WWE personality Sam Roberts floated a theory regarding the masked man who attacked CM Punk at Survivor Series. Roberts suggested on his podcast that the attacker’s identity could be a placeholder for a returning legend.
“Who’s to say—if Chris Jericho ends up signing with WWE—is there a world where we stretch this out until Chris Jericho can unmask? I would say sure. And that would be really exciting if Chris Jericho unmasked and that’s what you’ve got moving forward into 2026. That would be a lot of fun. Chris Jericho and CM Punk have history,” Roberts said.
