Santino Marella is trading his authority figure suit for wrestling gear.
On the December 18 episode of TNA iMPACT!, Marella will replace Matt Cardona in the massive TNA vs. NXT Steel Cage match. Cardona was written out of the bout following a backstage attack by NXT’s Lexis King and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo on this week’s show.
The storyline is deeply personal for Marella, as Stacks is currently engaged to his real-life daughter, Arianna Grace. The cage match will operate under WarGames-style rules, with the advantage determined by the result of the King vs. Cardona match.
Also announced for next week is a battle royal to determine the next challenger for the TNA World Championship.
