One week into 2026, and Chris Jericho’s future is still the biggest question mark in wrestling.
Despite his AEW contract expiring at the end of 2025, Jericho remains listed on the company’s roster page. He did not appear on the first Raw of the year, dampening rumors of an immediate WWE return.
When asked about Jericho’s status on the Unlikely podcast, Tony Khan praised the legend but offered no concrete details.
“I love Chris very much. And I would say that Chris is always a big part of AEW… Chris Jericho’s a huge part of our history,” Khan said.
Jericho hasn’t been seen on AEW TV since April 2025. With the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia approaching, speculation about a potential WWE Hall of Fame run continues to swirl, but for now, the “Lionheart” remains in limbo.
