Eddie Kingston and Ortiz are back on the same page, and they have a fight on their hands.
A tag team grudge match between the reunited duo and the Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake) has been officially added to next week’s Collision, which will be a special “Maximum Carnage” edition taped in Phoenix, Arizona.
The match was set up during a backstage interview on Collision, where Gibson and Drake took shots at Kingston’s rule-breaking style.
“We’re going to make an example out of both of them next week,” Drake threatened.
Kingston retorted with a warning of his own: “You’ll reap what you sow, and we won’t be the ones doing the sowing.”
This rivalry stems from Worlds End Zero Hour, where Kingston defeated Zack Gibson in singles action. Following the bell, the GYV jumped Kingston, leading to a surprise save from Ortiz. It was Ortiz’s first appearance on AEW television in over a year, marking an emotional reunion for the former Inner Circle stablemates. Next week’s match will be their first time teaming together since their split, offering fans a chance to see if their chemistry remains intact against one of the world’s most cohesive units.
