Update On Private Party’s Contract Status With AEW

AEW

Former AEW World Tag Team Champions Private Party have been noticeably absent from AEW programming for nearly a year, but reports indicate they are still part of the roster.

Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy have not been seen on television since losing the tag titles to The Hurt Syndicate just under a year ago. Addressing their status in a Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that while Quen was spotted backstage at an event a couple of months ago, there has been little noise regarding their creative future.

The duo’s contract situation has been a topic of speculation. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported in June 2025 that their deals were set to expire “soon.” However, Sapp confirmed that as of early 2026, they remain under contract. It was noted that Quen and Kassidy’s contracts do not expire at the exact same time.

Adding to the intrigue, Sapp mentioned that there has been interest from WWE in the tag team. Private Party was one of AEW’s original signings in 2019, famously defeating The Young Bucks in the inaugural tag team title tournament on the second episode of Dynamite.
