Trey Miguel is speaking out after his sudden release from All Elite Wrestling.
Miguel, who reportedly signed a multi-year deal with AEW alongside his Rascalz teammates only to be released days later, took to social media to address the speculation. While reports from Wrestling Observer Radio suggest the decision “came from up above” and did not involve talent or Tony Khan directly, Miguel’s statement alluded to personal growth and past errors.
“I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my time. I’ve always apologized and did my best to put a better foot forward after,” Miguel wrote. “I don’t preach hate and I don’t take any pride in being hateful. I’m a man of faith, I believe in forgiveness and only ever preach that. I’m a different man today.”
Miguel was notably absent from The Rascalz’s debut segment on Collision and has announced he is taking a hiatus from wrestling.
