Jeff Jarrett believes the depth of AEW’s roster is what sets its pay-per-views apart.
On My World with Jeff Jarrett, Jarrett was asked why AEW’s pay-per-views tend to get stronger reviews than its weekly TV.
“Nobody does premium live events like AEW. And why is that? I think depth of roster.”
Jarrett compared it to NFL teams that have quality backups at every position, and said AEW had more teams than it could fit on the card at All In at Wembley.
“You take the AEW roster, the Ring of Honor roster. You just kind of put it all together. I think the depth of the roster is the real secret sauce on the success on the run of AEW’s premium live events.”
He also credited Tony Khan for giving matches time.
“I think the length of the shows is part of the magic.”
Jarrett said that depth lets AEW keep its top names fresh.
“When you have the ability to have two or three of your main stars not on a premium live event, boy oh boy, it makes them fresh the next go around, and AEW can do that month in and month out.”
