Asuka is still under contract with WWE and continues to receive her pay while away from the company, according to Fightful Select.
The report says Asuka is away to deal with a family matter, and that WWE had no issue letting her step away despite having plans for her this year. Her absence is reportedly unrelated to Kairi Sane’s release.
Asuka has not wrestled since a match with IYO SKY in May.
She addressed the speculation on X.
“I’ll answer instead of Glock. I haven’t quit!”
