Adam Copeland says 2027 will be his last year as an active wrestler.
Copeland made the announcement on the October 14 episode of AEW Dynamite after beating Josh Alexander with a spear to qualify for the Clockwork Carnage match at WrestleDream. Speaking to the crowd, he said he is no longer the wrestler on people’s bedroom posters.
He also spoke about what qualifying for Clockwork Carnage means to him. The match, set for WrestleDream on October 17, has the AEW World Championship on the line.
Copeland did not say whether he plans to wrestle through all of 2027 or finish his career earlier in the year.
