AEW is in no rush to sign Sheamus, according to Fightful Select.
The report said there is no “huge urgency in bringing him in” and that “nothing seems imminent.” It also said Sheamus “has had talks with other companies.”
Claudio Castagnoli and Adam Copeland are among the AEW names who have made it clear they want Sheamus in the company, per the report.
Sheamus became a free agent when his WWE contract expired at the start of October. His last match was on the November 17, 2025 episode of Raw, where he teamed with John Cena and Rey Mysterio. He had shoulder surgery that December.
