Max Caster says Anthony Bowens still works for AEW.
Caster made the comments during a virtual signing for K & S WrestleFest. When it was brought up that Bowens left AEW around the same time he did, Caster said Bowens is “still there” and that “he still works there,” adding that he did not want to speak for him too much.
Fightful Select had reported that both former members of The Acclaimed became free agents on October 1.
Caster also praised AEW President Tony Khan.
“I always gotta shout out Tony Khan because he’s supporting a lot of wrestlers’ living right now, including me. I’m still living off AEW money. That’s a guy who, for whatever reason in his heart, is supporting wrestling and supporting wrestlers,” Caster said.
Caster said “you never say never” about returning to AEW, but that he is turning down wrestling bookings for now. TNA cut ties with him after he referenced the attacks in Riyadh during his rap at Bound For Glory.
Bowens last wrestled for AEW in August. Neither Bowens nor AEW has said whether he has signed a new deal.
