Jeff Jarrett says a program with Bret Hart would have been at the top of his wish list during his WWF run in the mid-1990s.
On My World with Jeff Jarrett, Jarrett was asked who he wished he had worked with before leaving the WWF in 1996.
“I’d got to work a little bit with Savio Vega. But I can’t say that anybody in that era. I mean, I did have a few matches with Bret Hart, but never a program. So at the very top, sort of, of my wish list would have been, and we had that Raw match, but a program with Bret would have been nice,” Jarrett said.
Jarrett and Lawler faced Bret Hart and The Undertaker at a USWA show in Memphis in February 1996. Jarrett said the crossover between the two companies did not quite work.
“It’s funny to look back on time and look at how we were so ingrained in two different audiences. We got a Memphis wrestling audience that comes to the weekly shows, and then you have the glitz and glamor of the WWF. That’s a casual wrestling audience.”
