Tony Khan Touts Max Streaming As Key To AEW’s Growth And New Viewership

Tony Khan

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan recently highlighted the major positive impact that AEW’s presence on the Max streaming service has had on the company. Speaking on The Toronto Sun’s No Holds Barred show, Khan described the move to Max as a pivotal development in 2025.

Khan explained that having AEW programming available on Max has significantly expanded their reach. It has allowed them to connect with different groups of viewers who might not have watched their shows before.

“What’s really changed for us this year, it’s been a true game-changer and sport-changer for AEW; it’s changed the whole marketplace for us in terms of AEW’s wrestling landscape. It’s Max, the streaming service,” Tony Khan stated. He further detailed the benefits: “Having AEW on Max has helped us reach new viewers, a new audience, a younger audience, all kinds of people who have never seen AEW before, maybe even some cord-cutters that have gotten away from cable, coming back into AEW.”
