AEW’s Bryan Danielson made an unexpected appearance at the “ACTION DEAN~!!!2” independent wrestling event on Saturday evening, May 24th. Following a ten-man cibernetico match, Danielson entered the ring, sharing a moment with the legendary Blue Panther and another wrestler identified as Hologram.
During his appearance, Danielson called Blue Panther “his favorite luchador of all-time” and stated that wrestling him at Arena Mexico “was the highlight of his career.” He then spoke passionately about the love for professional wrestling: “People always ask me… would you want your kids to be professional wrestlers? I always give the same answer, ‘I don’t care if they wrestle or not. I want them to find something that they love as much as I love professional wrestling.’ You can see in the way Hologram wrestles that he loves professional wrestling. Blue Panther… you know he loves professional wrestling. This show, ACTION DEAN, is in honor of a man who loved professional wrestling.”
Danielson also shared a personal story about his early career: “I was under WWF developmental… Then they fired me… Because of Dean and the people who wrote with Dean, they talked about me and wrote about me and independent pro wrestling with a passion and love that made new fans… Independent wrestling is awesome!” He emphasized that seeing favorite wrestlers up close is a unique aspect of indie shows and praised Adam Priest as the “best independent wrestler in the United States.”
