In a chaotic and violent main event, the team of Will Ospreay, Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Darby Allin, and Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated The Death Riders (Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli), The Young Bucks, and Gabe Kidd in a Lights Out Steel Cage match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
The match was filled with brutal spots and extreme high-risk maneuvers from the top of the cage. Highlights included Will Ospreay hitting a moonsault from the top of the structure, Wheeler Yuta (who interfered for the heels) being thrown from the top of the cage through the announce table below, and both Darby Allin and Gabe Kidd diving from the cage through tables.
The finish came when the babyface team isolated Matt Jackson in the ring and hit him with a series of their signature finishers to get the pinfall victory.
After the match, Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli locked the cage door and viciously attacked Will Ospreay. The assault was a storyline reason to write Ospreay off television so he can get his neck fixed.
