Following a major night of announcements, TNA Wrestling has revealed the first set of matches for next week’s episode of iMPACT on Thursday, September 11. The show will continue the build to the upcoming Victory Road and Bound For Glory pay-per-view events. Several key singles and tag team matches have been booked, stemming directly from the events of the September 4th live broadcast and the ongoing rivalries within the company.
A major singles encounter is set between Joe Hendry and Eric Young. The match was made after a promo battle between the two on this week’s show, which was a result of Young attacking Hendry backstage on a previous episode. Another significant singles match will see two of TNA’s biggest heavyweights collide, as Moose is scheduled to go one-on-one with AJ Francis of Fir$t Cla$$.
It was also teased that a new challenger may be emerging for the TNA X-Division Championship. In a backstage segment, Director of Authority Santino Marella informed the current champion, Leon Slater, that both Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz of The Rascalz have been medically cleared to compete. This strongly indicates that a triple threat championship match could be on the horizon. The ongoing storylines are setting the stage for what promises to be an eventful fall season for TNA Wrestling.
