A highly personal and dangerous match has been made official for the AEW All Out pay-per-view on Saturday, September 20. Darby Allin will finally get his one-on-one match against the man who put him on the shelf for months, Jon Moxley, and it will be contested under one of wrestling’s most macabre stipulations: a Coffin Match. This will be the first time that the former three-time AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley, has ever competed in this type of match, adding a new layer of unpredictability to their violent feud. Allin, however, is no stranger to the stipulation, having competed in and won multiple Coffin Matches during his time in AEW, most notably against Andrade El Idolo and Brody King.
The match was made on the September 6 episode of AEW Collision. After defeating Daniel Garcia in a singles bout, Moxley took to the microphone to address Darby Allin’s recent challenge, which was issued on the August 27 episode of Dynamite. Moxley spoke about Allin’s desire to take something from him and declared that at All Out in Toronto, he would be “putting Allin in the ground.”
This statement served as his official acceptance of the challenge, and the Coffin Match stipulation was announced shortly thereafter. The feud between Allin and the entire Death Riders faction has been one of the most intense and personal stories in AEW throughout 2025, and this match at All Out is set to be the brutal and definitive climax of their rivalry.
