AEW star Keith Lee has provided a positive and definitive update on his in-ring future, reassuring fans that he will be back in action. The “Limitless One” has been out of the ring since December 2023 due to undisclosed medical issues, and his long absence has led to a great deal of speculation among fans about whether he would ever be able to compete again. His status has been a mystery for nearly two years, but in a recent post on social media, he made it clear that a return is not a matter of “if,” but “when.” The news is a welcome development for the AEW roster and for fans who have been eagerly awaiting the return of the incredibly athletic and charismatic heavyweight.
In response to a supportive fan on Monday, Lee expressed his gratitude and offered a firm reassurance about his future.
“You honor me. I appreciate you for that. All my gratitude. I’d like to take this moment to remind you, that you also, are boundless. Additionally, I’ll take a moment to reassure you that a return to the ring will certainly happen. Though I won’t posit how or when. Much love.”
Lee’s last match was a victory over Brian Cage on the Holiday Bash 2023 episode of AEW Rampage. He was scheduled to face his former tag team partner, Swerve Strickland, at the Worlds End pay-per-view that same month, but he was pulled from the match due to his health issues. His statement now gives fans hope that they will one day see him back in an AEW ring.
