A new, major trios match has been announced for tonight’s episode of AEW Collision on Saturday, September 27. In a social media post on Friday night, AEW President Tony Khan revealed that three members of the dominant Death Riders faction will be in action. The group’s leader, Jon Moxley, will team with the newest member, Daniel Garcia, and the formidable Claudio Castagnoli. They will face the veteran trio of Paragon’s Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong, who will be joined by “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard. This match is a significant one, as it will be Daniel Garcia’s first time teaming with his new stablemates since his shocking heel turn. The bout also features an interesting dynamic, as Matt Menard was a former mentor and ally to Garcia in the Jericho Appreciation Society, adding a personal layer to the encounter.
The addition of this star-studded trios match rounds out what is expected to be an action-packed episode of Collision. Also on the show, the reigning TNT Champion, Kyle Fletcher, is set to defend his championship in an open challenge against the returning luchador, Komander. In tag team action, the newly formed alliance of HOOK and Eddie Kingston will take on the team of Big Bill and Bryan Keith. And in another intriguing development, the recently feuding former tag team partners, Anthony Bowens and Max Caster, will be forced to team up once again as they face the duo of Swirl (Lee Johnson & Blake Christian).
The updated lineup for tonight’s episode of AEW Collision is below:
- TNT Championship Match: Kyle Fletcher (champion) vs. Komander
- Jon Moxley, Daniel Garcia, & Claudio Castagnoli vs. Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, & “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard
