All Elite Wrestling has officially announced the return of one of its most brutal and popular match types, Blood & Guts. The special edition of AEW Dynamite, featuring the multi-ring steel cage spectacle, will take place on Wednesday, November 12, at the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The announcement of the highly anticipated match type, which has only happened four times in AEW history, is set to be a major draw for the fall season and will culminate a heated rivalry that has been building for months in the women’s division. The Blood & Guts match is known for its intense violence and chaotic action, and it typically features two teams of five or more wrestlers battling it out until one team surrenders.
The match was confirmed after former AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter issued a direct challenge to The Triangle of Madness faction (Thekla, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue) at last Saturday’s episode of Collision. The full teams for the massive encounter have not yet been revealed, but the challenge immediately set the stage for one of the most anticipated women’s matches in AEW history. The feud between Hayter and The Triangle of Madness began after Hayter made her surprise return from injury at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view to confront Thekla and her group.
Tickets for the Blood & Guts event will go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 3. Fans can sign up for early access premium seating, which kicks off tomorrow, October 1, by visiting the official AEW website.
