AEW star Jon Moxley, who is known for his pragmatic and violent in-ring persona, has weighed in on a classic comic book debate, explaining in a new interview why the iconic DC superhero, Batman, would never be welcome in his faction, The Death Riders. Moxley’s critique of the “Dark Knight” centers on his famous “no-kill” rule, specifically in relation to his long-standing arch-nemesis, The Joker.
Speaking to The Sportster while promoting the new AEW x DC Comics crossover, Moxley was asked which DC character would be a perfect addition to The Death Riders.
“The Red Hood gets business done, usually. I wouldn’t have Batman. Because at a certain point, are you just not going to kill the Joker?”
He continued to mock Batman’s moral code and his inability to permanently solve the problem of The Joker.
“It’s getting ridiculous. I’m a pragmatist. Come on. What are we doing here? I just can’t get with that. One chance, two. Okay, by the third time, you’ve escaped Arkham and gone on a murdering spree. Why would you just shoot him? Somebody f—ing shoot him.”
Moxley is currently embroiled in a deeply personal and violent feud with Darby Allin, which is set to culminate in an “I Quit” match at the upcoming AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view.
