AEW star and lifelong skateboarder Darby Allin is embarking on a new mission: building a free, public skatepark in his adopted hometown of McDonough, Georgia. Allin, who has famously incorporated his skateboarding roots into his wrestling persona, has partnered with the legendary Tony Hawk to bring the project to life.
The announcement, made via a 1FWrestling video, confirmed that Allin and Hawk have already received approval for a plot of land to build the park.
“Professional wrestler. Skateboarder for life. And now—park builder. After scaling Mount Everest in June 2025, pro wrestler and lifelong skateboarding Darby Allin is taking on a new mission: building a free, public skatepark in McDonough, Georgia, where he’s lived since 2017.”
Allin noted in the fundraiser, “Just to bring the skateboarding into the world of wrestling means a lot to me, because that was huge in my youth.”
A fundraiser has been launched to help complete the project, with a goal of $50,000. As of this report, it has raised $1,897.25.
