AEW is heading back to Canada in a big way.
Following the announcement that AEW Dynasty will take place in Vancouver, British Columbia, on April 12, 2026, Tony Khan expressed his excitement about the company’s return to the market. Speaking to The Province, Khan emphasized the significance of the event for AEW’s Canadian legacy.
“Canada has been an amazing host country for many AEW events in recent years, and AEW Dynasty on April 12 will create a new chapter in AEW’s Canadian legacy,” Khan said. He noted that the company’s debut in Vancouver earlier this year featured an “amazing crowd” that convinced him the city deserved a pay-per-view.
Khan also reflected on AEW’s performance throughout 2025, calling it the company’s “strongest year” for weekly television and pay-per-view quality.
“I truly believe that 2025 has been AEW’s strongest year… I think that we are poised to hit even greater heights in 2026, and AEW Dynasty at Rogers Arena on Sunday, April 12 will be a key event to achieve that goal.”
