Despite rampant speculation that Chris Jericho’s AEW contract expired at the end of 2025, a new report clarifies why he remains listed on the company’s roster page. According to Fightful Select, Jericho is actually still under contract with AEW, though the specific reason his deal did not expire as originally announced in 2022 is unknown.
This contractual status explains his absence from WWE programming, despite Fightful noting that there is interest within WWE should he become a free agent. For now, Jericho remains busy outside the ring; his band Fozzy is set to kick off a UK tour on February 6 in Brighton, playing 13 shows through February 21.
