Omega Admits Personal Goals Are “Out of the Way” in New Interview
Kenny Omega’s priorities in AEW have shifted from collecting gold to cultivating the company’s future. In a new interview with Justin Barrasso, the former World Champion addressed his mindset following a loss to Andrade El Idolo that derailed his latest title pursuit.
“I’m in a position where a lot of my own personal goals are out of the way. I’ve checked all those boxes,” Omega candidly stated. “The one personal goal I have left is to be the best utility tool for what the situation calls for.”
Omega emphasized the necessity of elevating new talent rather than relying on established names. “Maybe I could main event until I’m dead. But what follows after if I haven’t built anybody… We need to trust our future,” he explained. “We can’t keep relying on the same small-knit group of people that have a track record of success.”
