The tension between Swerve Strickland and Booker T has flared up once again. The WWE Hall of Famer recently criticized Strickland on his podcast, suggesting that young talent like Je’Von Evans need to avoid picking up “bad habits” from wrestlers like Swerve.
“Trademarks BAD HABITS”
Strickland wasted no time responding on social media. After a wrestling news outlet shared Booker’s comments, Swerve quote-tweeted it with a sarcastic, “(Trademarks “BAD HABITS”).” When a fan suggested he had influenced more people than Booker T, Swerve simply replied, “Not true,” opting for a more measured response than in the past.
However, he did take a dig when a fan asked how many shoes Booker T goes through “tap dancing for WWE,” replying, “If he needs a new pair he can borrow mine,” while promoting his new Reebok sneaker collaboration.
The animosity dates back over a year, stemming from Strickland’s comments about Booker T’s treatment in WWE and a “F*** Booker T” chant Swerve led after AEW Dynasty.
