All Elite Wrestling is bringing a loaded card to Denver, Colorado, for this Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision. The broadcast, which was taped on Wednesday, features major appearances from top champions, high-profile tag team action, and significant first-time-ever matchups as the promotion builds toward the Revolution pay-per-view.
World Champions Set to Address the AEW Audience
Following a chaotic segment on Wednesday’s Dynamite where his plan was thwarted, reigning AEW World Champion MJF is scheduled to make an appearance. MJF attempted to use a trick quarter during a coin flip to secure his preferred stipulation for his upcoming title defense against “Hangman” Adam Page. Page caught the deception, resulting in the match becoming a brutal Texas Death Match. Fans will hear from the frustrated champion regarding the new stipulation. Additionally, newly crowned AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla will address the audience ahead of her first title defense against Thunder Rosa next week.
The in-ring action is headlined by the highly anticipated debut of “Protokada.” After Kazuchika Okada repeatedly propositioned Kyle Fletcher, the two will team up for the first time ever to face the high-flying duo of Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin). Furthermore, Tommaso Ciampa will compete for the first time since losing his TNT Championship, taking on former ROH World Champion Jay Lethal in their first singles meeting since 2015.
Other notable matches include former AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm stepping into the ring against Zayda Steel, and Andrade El Idolo going one-on-one with the hard-hitting Tomohiro Ishii. A massive eight-man tag team bout will see the Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, and Daniel Garcia) clash with the Don Callis Family (Rocky Romero, Lance Archer, Josh Alexander, and Trent Beretta). The card is rounded out by an appearance from the Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor) against opponents yet to be named, alongside Thunder Rosa and Kris Statlander teaming up to battle the Sisters of Sin (Skye Blue and Julia Hart).
